The Management Institute Framework
The founders of The Management Institute recognized the need for a structured, adaptable, repeatable approach to managing an organization. The TMI framework identifies eight management competency areas. When these competencies are put into action, they become the management system for an organization and drive results. As an organization adapts to changing internal and external factors and takes on new goals, the system of core competencies must be continuously evaluated, updated and balanced.
The Management Competency Foundations Certificate Program
The Management Competency Foundation program starts with an orientation to the context of management and how it is connected to leadership and technical disciplines. The program explores the eight core competencies and includes examples from across a wide variety of organizations: start-ups, business corporations, co-ops, governments, and not-for-profits.
